Emergency help for Imad and his family in Gaza

I am fundraising on behalf of my friend Imad and his family.

This is his story:

Hello, my name is Imad Abu Hassan, and this is my story that I am living now in Gaza.

As I sit on a tattered mat in a dilapidated tent, I watch the raindrops fall from its leaky roof. I look at my little son, Mohammed, who shivers with cold, and tears run down his cheek.

My life was not like this before, but after October 7th, everything changed. I used to live a normal life in Khan Yunis with my wife, Nourhan, and our son. But when the Israeli forces warned us to leave our home, we had no choice but to flee.

I left everything behind: my home, my work, my memories. I carried with me only some clothes and some food.

I am now living in a crowded camp in southern Gaza in the city of Rafah. There, I live in a small tent with dozens of other families. There is no electricity, no running water, and no proper sanitation.

Death haunts us in all its forms:

• The winter was extremely harsh. The rains are heavy and the cold is unbearable. Mohammed is sick and Nourhan is exhausted. I feel helpless. I can't provide food or medicine for my family.

• Death stalks us from the rockets that explode around us, from the planes, or from starvation or cold.

I feel forgotten. The whole world is talking about the war, but no one cares about us, the refugees. We are living in hell and we need help.

I remember very well how I saw my son Mohammed witness horrific scenes during the war.

"mohammed saw destruction and death. He saw bodies in the streets and houses turned to rubble. I don't want my child to suffer from these traumas."

Why did I create the donation campaign?

I want my son to live a good life away from killing and painful scenes. I need an amount of money, no matter how small, it can make a big difference. We need food, clothes, medicine, and shelter. We need hope to escape from the Gaza Strip and head to the Republic of Egypt, but I need to pay the exorbitant crossing fees so that I can survive the war.

Having used up almost all of our life savings, we are now seeking help to cover four individuals' application fees and travel costs. Our goal is to raise $17,000 which will be allocated as follows:

1. Permit and crossing fees: $13,000
- $5,000 per adult (myself and my wife)
- $2,500 per child
- $500 for crossing fees for all four of us

2. Basic living expenses in Egypt for six months: $4,000
- $650 per month for accommodation, food, and essentials

and i will looking for any work in Egypt to start my life again.

God Almighty says in the Holy Quran: "And whoever saves one life, it is as if he has saved the lives of all people."

Don't leave me and my family to die here.
