Emergency Eviction Prevention & Financial Assistance

We are facing severe loss after failing to find adequate help in an 9.5 month search.

I (Sasha) launched a poverty resistance program called "BWRI" where I distributed resources and financial aid to Black marginalized genders. I was unable to find a sufficient amount of donors and had to distribute from my own money, and I gave loans that were never paid back.

On top of that, I was injured at work, suffered failing health during recovery, and I was forced to spend what little left I had in savings. I'd experienced a myriad of misfortune including my mother being involved in a car accident and the unexpected loss of a family member.

Because of this I was evicted from my apartment and my quality of life was severely reduced as a result. Earlier this year the tools I used for work were stolen and it's been impossible to replace them on my current income. The situation has become dangerous and I can no longer support my family. Eventually I won't be able to support myself as my situation is deteriorating. It's very hard to find a home when youve been evicted and I'm at risk of losing the storage unit I use to work, over $2,800. No advice has worked and many people have been patient with my failure to maintain/provide. Please help.

Gina is someone I've known and worked with for years. She's been a vital part of my life and experiences hardships for nothing more than being visibly trans. She's been denied working opportunities and her living situation was destabilized by a transphobic roommate.

Because of this she will not have enough money to cover rent and other bills. Essentially, she faces being late again and has had threats of eviction before. Florida is a state that values landlords over tenants and we cannot afford for her to lose her home.
