During a recent visit to Ghana, I took a trip to the Oncology department in one of Ghana's main hospital (Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital). I was overwhelmed to see the number of people in need of cancer treatment. After speaking to some of the patients, I came to a realisation that, most of the patients couldn't afford food, cost of transport to and from the hospital and most important medications for treatment.

Most of you are aware that my mum sadly passed away as result of this deadly disease last year and she received treatment at this Hospital. Staff were brilliant and gave her good care and support during her last days on earth. However, after talking to few staff members at the hospital, I felt the need and urgency to help patients who are receiving treatment for this lethal disease. As a consequence, I am setting up this fundraising to help the hospital purchase a CT scan and also financially support some of the patients who are currently fighting cancer and receiving treatment at the hospital. I will welcome any contributions and support you are able to offer so that, together we can help save lives and ultimately contribute to the fight of cancer in Ghana.
