Our dear friend Elizabeth (E.D.) is facing a long period of surgery, treatment and hopefully, recovery for complicated internal magnus myomatosus and ovarian cancer.

It will be a difficult road ahead for her, however, she is prepared to put on her motorcycle boots, breathe like the opera singer she is, and kick her cancer’s ass!

If you know her, or if you don’t know her – Elizabeth has an approach to life that makes her handle a situation like this. However, she needs our help and support now. Due to the many tests and pre-op procedures, she has had to nearly stop working. Although her Czech insurance is covering parts of her treatment, she is incurring some medical expenses that are not covered, as well as basic living expenses and planned rehabilitation.

In addition to the current serious threat to her life, many of you who know Elizabeth don’t know that for more than 20 years she has also been living with and has been periodically challenged by trigeminal neuralgia and demyelinating disease-related issues. But Elizabeth is strong and tries to always remain positive. She is a graceful fighter.

Elizabeth is very thankful for the early detection of her cancer and her amazing and caring general practitioner in Prague, Eva. She first visited her a few weeks ago for her Czech motorcycle license medical certification. She was granted the certification, then she was asked to get back on the examination table. A large mass was found in her abdomen, and that was the beginning of this dramatic and challenging journey.

Elizabeth’s surgery, treatment and recovery will take some months, so we will keep this appeal going for as long as she needs help. Please consider also whether you are able to come back and possibly donate again in future months. We appreciate any donation you can make, no matter how big or small. Every amount will help.

Please take this opportunity to help our friend survive her greatest challenge and thrive again. Let’s help Elizabeth get back to singing, sewing, being our kind and engaging friend, cooking like few people can and to rekindle her enduring wish for a long motorcycle ride in the future.
