Dux need help

Meet Dux, a playful and loving 5 years old bosnian shepherd dog . My dad and me adopted him 1 month old after being abandoned by a breeder for unclear reasons, and we enjoy past 5 years, and after my dad past away, Dux left one beautiful thing which remind me on him and his sacrifice to develop me as a person. We got him a name by famous movie actor Jean Claude van Dame, who played a big role in Bloodsport as Frank Dux, me and my dad enjoyed watching that movie, and Dux with us. But, suddenly 2 weeks quickly I took him to a local vet for the usual vaccine shot.

Unfortunately, the doctor felt a irregular heart rate and suggested we visit a cardiologist. After multiple doctor consultations, x-rays and ultrasound, Dux was confirmed to suffer from PDA (Patent Ductus Arteriosus). This is a congenital heart defect where a blood vessel didn't naturally close off after birth regulating the heart blood flow. PDA mortality rate is greater than 50% if left untreated within a year of diagnosed.

Exams showed my dog heart being abnormally big due to the incorrect blood pressure and have started to affect his breathing and energy. Its been confirmed that the best solution is to undergo open heart surgery whilst its possible and manually close the blood vessel. As a only thing which keep remind of my dad, my cute dog will have to fight for his life for a 50/50 chance.

The surgery and additional medical bills will estimate around 2500 $. As much as it goes against my pride, I would like to ask for your help. Any donation will be greatly appreciated.

All the money raised will be going to Dux's surgery and recovery. Whatever is left will be donated to a local dog rescue organization in my town where we adopted him from.
