Donate to reconstruct this house: transform the Huda family’s life

We want to tell you the story of the Huda family in the hope that you can send your donations to help rebuild her new home. We hope to bring peace and stability to their lives after years of suffering and uncertainty.

This is a family of 9 people, including 7 children. As you can see, most of them are very young and fragile (we have covered their faces with respect to their privacy). For years, they lived in an abandoned house and the children grew up in an environment contaminated with high levels of asbestos - a horrific and unreasonable situation - but the unfortunate reality in refugee camps.

Their house was flooded in the winter months because they didn't even have enough roof to protect them from harsh weather. In the summer, they suffered from the intense heat exacerbated by the metal roof.

It seems that their situation will not improve. However, in 2016 we started a campaign to raise funds for their new home. With the help of many generous and wonderful people, it was finally possible for the family to see a brighter future. They entered their house. Really, this would not have been possible without your help.

We have selected a selection of photos from this house and as you can see, they are far from living at this time. A number of important projects must be completed in order to create a safe environment for children, to enable them to play, grow and be happy like others of their age. Of course all this at a cost but their safety and well-being is priceless.

The house has three rooms and a concrete roof. However, they are just a hollow shell and need a great deal of work to be habitable and fulfill their dreams.

The donations will provide the means to stabilize the basic needs of the water system and install electricity, without which the house can not function.

Walls and ceilings need to be adequately painted and doors must be put in place, as well as windows to protect from elements. At this time, the home has a lot of risks to make living in it unsafe. Of course, the priority should be to make everything safe.

Donations will give them a new bathroom and new furniture - maybe that's essential for us - but it will really make their lives better.

We have shown what kindness and kindness can bring and we have this house. It has a lot of potential and gives the light hope after a lot of darkness.
