£482.00raised of £450.00 goal
Friends ! ITS MY BIRTHDAY WEEK!
So this is more of an experiement than a cry for help.
Covid has hampered a lot of people in the global arts community. I'm in there too but I havent stop creating and being optimistic. Infact I've been working more than ever.
I'm not a guy that asks for much. I saw a few friends fund raising to help advance and extend their creative endeavours. So I thought I would jump a funding train and see where it takes me. No shame and yes I have been totally talked into and pushed (lovingly) into this. So here it goes.
I don’t need 1000 pieces of equipment in my studio. I've always made do with what I had. BUT FOR YEARS friends and family have continually encouraged me to perfoman BEAT SETS as well DJ sets.
So I'm trying to raise 450GBP to get me hands on, and invest in a Roland SP404SX Which is a portable sampler with more sample time than I’ve ever had on any sampler. It allows me to transfer my studio creations to a portable device and perform alongside DJ sets and an assortment of live scenarios. Playing instruments, writing, DJ'ing are things I live to do and extending my creative possibilties to beat performance is just something I want to have as another feather in my cap. I figured with over 1,4k friends and followers on FB and more on Mr Dirty Hairy FB page and IG if less than half of my friends and followers donated 1gbp i'd be there in no time.
If I can reach this figure and actually purchase the unit I will make a little performance video with my visual team and post up a few joints from the upcoming Dirty Hairy LP.
During quarantine and since arriving back in Europe I've made what some would consider to be an " alarming " amount of beats and projects. For me I've arrived (eventually) at a place where I really want to perform them live in a variety of ways.
For me every piece of equipment purchased is a carefully considered ( often 2nd hand ) jump into something I am adament I will use. I dont like to hoard gear, photograph it for IG and never use it.
I appreciate donations in any size and anything substantially big I will do my best to reward with my latest LP or vinyl release.
In the unlikely event that I do go over the amount I'm trying to raise, addtionals will go toward shipping ( as 450 is about the cost of the unit ), midi cables, new XLR's, turntable needles and other studio gear that needs replacing after a few years.
