Do You Know...?

Hi, Your attention is important to me and my blog written from the heart. This is why I titled it ''Did You Know"?

Allow me to ask you this. How important is money in your life to live it more comfortably without going overboard? How would you feel if you had lost investment money that you have not been able to recoup?

This blog is about money that I have not been able to recoup after what turned out to be a disastrous investment that was initially conducted by American hands. Something went wrong in the equation and this has been hurting me financially. Because of this I finally decided to take some steps to do a personal financial restoration campaign in an attempt to restore the principal. Embezzlement has played a key role here. If I had been able to retrieve my losses this blog wouldn't be here.

It is not my intent to use the following piece of true American heritage history as a tool to usher in your financial contribution but my case petitions your help in my financial deprivation. Nevertheless, with that said, the fact remains that one European country has done a LOT for America in its beginning stages of formation towards becoming a country of independence. The links below testify of that.

Allow me to take you on a little heritage journey that reflects financial 'help' in the literal sense of the word

Though the Declaration of Independence, the American Constitution and the Bill of Rights are written statements which are engraved in the hearts of the people and enjoyed corporately and individually in terms of human rights and liberty, money is generally one of the major elements that forms part of the picture to sustain a sound status in life and we pronounce that either in unison as a country or in our personal lives.

According to Dutch American history private Dutch bankers issued a loan to the American government which was received by John Adams in Amsterdam in the year of 1782. Five million guilders were lent in this first loan during his visit in that year. History goes on to say that the Dutch had augmented their lending up to a capacity of 30M guilders or US$12M by 1794, this being the total sum of foreign American debt at that point in time.

Even today this is an enormous amount of money. To add a little more to history, did you know that the Netherlands was the third nation in Dutch-American history to acknowledge America as a governmentally independent nation (after Morocco and France)? And did you also know that John Adams was the first American politician to become the first United States ambassador to the Netherlands? The house that was purchased at Fluwelen Burgwal 18 in the Hague served as premises for the first American embassy that was ever established on the globe. I know exactly where that street is because I commuted by bus to and fro work every day passing through it. Also read the Holland section in the John Adams Wikipedia website.

What has all of this got to do with me?

Yes, I am Dutch and that is why I quoted this piece of Dutch American heritage which forms a milestone in the history of both countries whereby Holland has gone miles out of its way to satisfy John Adam's request for financial help in the very early years of the forging of America. This significant piece of history binds both countries is a most amicable way and still does till this day.

Just like Americans were so much in need of money for the build up of their country at that point in time, so I am equally in need of help in the restoration of my losses that I incurred in an American investment amounting up to $66,000. This amount is a drop in the ocean in comparison to the total sum of the borrowed principal that Holland gave to America in support of all of its issues. If, for instance, the American government had not repaid the borrowed principal to its lending source it would be regarded deprivation of money owed to Dutch lenders. I believe this was  never the case contrary to mine.

Have I ever tried to get my own money back? Yes, more than once but to no avail.

I am not asking for a particular amount of money as a contribution. I am only asking to follow whatever is on your heart to give. Are you willing and able?

Am I going to keep all of this money to myself? No. I will first invest into the Kingdom of heaven as He wills and help those financially as He leads. In other words, God will determine my portion.

From an open heart, thank you for your support whatever your contribution may be.
