My name is Jesus Carrazco, and I am a student pursuing a bachelors degree in architecture and civil engineering. I graduated high school in 2010 and joined Arizona State University to become part of the 2014 graduates. Finishing my first semester at ASU I felt driven by the ambiance and ambitions seeded within me by my parents. None finished school and now they look upon my brothers and I with such sparkle and hopes in their eyes. My father lost his job several in January of 2011 and so I withdrew from ASU in order to help my parents out. I started working full time cleanning offices at night, with minimal wage. In 2012 both my parents and I were raising money to pay for my school but my mother was diagnosed with a cataract in her eyes and so the saved money was spent on her surgery. At the age of 50 both of my parents still work not for themselves but for their kids and their education. When my dad crossed the Sonoran desert at the age of 23, he remembers how he would lay on the top of the train looking up into the stars and invision all his plans and ideas come to frutition and how his offspring would reach their goals with the wrath of a "devil". Today, my ambitions reflect upon my fathers dreams of one day achieving what he envisioned under the starry nights.
