My boyfriend, and exhusband from about fourteen years ago, has been working on getting his private pilots license since we were married.  He is a Purple Heart recipient from the Khobar Towers military barracks bombing in 1996, the after effects of which led to the downfall of our marriage.  Unfortunately, PTSD was not a household term during Desert Storm and we were young.  Since then he has made progress toward his pilots license, its the only thing he's really ever wanted. It seems, however, that everytime he has the money ready, something goes wrong and he loses it to something else. Now that we're back together, I've made it my mission to get him there. He is fully supporting me because I am ill and can not work but we managed to organize things to the point we got him in the air and he even hit his big solo flight milestone last week! Soon after, we got a call from our landlord informing us we had a little over a month to find a new apartment because he needed this one for family immigrating from Poland. Then came yesterday.  A horrible migraine hit me while out doing errands and I sideswiped the cement base of a pole in a parking lot due to the effects on my vision.  Last night someone smashed a large rock through my drivers window to steal my GPS unit. Twenty-four hours, two large insurance deductibles on our only vehicle and he's running out of time. If we can raise the money, he can have that license this summer.  If we can't, there may be too big a gap for him to pick up where he left off.  He's been taking such good care of me, I don't want him to lose his dream because of it.  Please consider a few dollars, if a lot of people give just a little a lifelong dream can come true.
