Daniel Layton Education Fund

School is expensive. I'm learning this more and more.
To give you back ground, I am Daniel a 22 year old Mechanical Engineering student at Western Michigan University. My whole life has been about service and giving back. From volunteering at food banks to spending time with veterans, I enjoy giving of my time and money to serve others. In fact, during my time in school, I have found an Engineering company that prides itself in taking care of community by providing instruments for doctors that saves lives. I want so badly to work there, and have a job lined up when I finish my schooling.

However, money is becoming an issue for my family. A year ago, I got married and 4 months ago we adopted two cats that ended up needing almost $1000 worth of medical bills. My wife is recently unemployed and has a major surgery coming up to remove a growth in her ear canal that unchecked will attack her inner ear and brain stem. I don't even want to think about what happens then.

Since I go to college full time, and have responsibilities outside of school, I don't have time to try and work. I am trying to provide for my family by finishing college as soon as possible. It also hurts me so much that I am not in a position to help others in my community.

For these reasons, I implore you to look into your heart and help us. I cannot give you anything in return, other than knowing that 10% of what I raise will immediately be given to my church and as soon as I am financially able I will give it all back to my community through volunteering and donations. Anything you donate will be a huge help. I put an initial fundraising amount of $5000, but school is expensive. I have about 30 credit hours left and I am paying about $500 a credit.
