Dajanique (Daja) Brown-Rogers, the daughter of Eanah Brown, Terrance Rogers and step-father Gregory Whaley was struck by a vehicle on her way to the school bus stop the morning of October 17, 2012. Unfortunately, she did not pull through.
Although only the tender age of 14, she was able to touch the lives of so many with her infectious smile, bubbly personality and unique "Daja" attitude. We ask that you not focus on the loss of life but instead the life of memories.
Daja, struggled with reading comprehension but had made great strides to improve her grades. She also took interest in group activities such as YMCA teen club, cheerleading and including playing soccer for several years. She was a member of Cheltenham High School's soccer team.
Donations in excess of the burial costs will be used to fund a scholarship for High School students with learning disabilities who also participate in extra curricular activities.
