Hello
My name is Jay Strnad. I'm 18 years old and I'm a professional DJ from the Czech Republic.
Being a DJ in the Czech Republic used to make me enough money to pay my rent and pay for my living expenses. But recently everything changed.
About a week ago on one of my gigs an alcoholic owner of the club i used to play in smashed my laptop against the floor. Most of the clubs in Czech Republic are BYOE ( Bring Your Own Equipment ) which means that i need to bring my DJ controller and my laptop to almost every club that i play in.
I tried every single possible thing to make the owner of the club to pay for my laptop, but was unable to do so because of an agreement that I signed.
Now when I don't have my equipment, I can't continue being a DJ, which means that I can't make money to pay for my rent and my living expenses. Which unfortunately means that i will get evicted the next month for not being able to pay for my rent.
I tried to apply for a job, but most of the jobs in my area have a 2 month hiring period.
And this Is why I'm here.
If we reach the goal of 500$ I will be able to buy a new Laptop sufficient enough to smoothly run the Rekordbox software necessary for my performance.
If we surpass the goal, every single dollar will go to more DJ equipment.
