Campaign Story
Very active anti hunt group in Cumbria needs a drone to monitor and disrupt illegal fox hunting in the county. Cumbria Huntwatch members have been disrupting illegal fox hunting for many years but their ability to locate hunts and prevent illegal fox hunting will be greatly enhanced with the use of a drone. We are looking to buy a Mavik Pro before the end of the hunting season in March.at a cost of £1050. Locating hunts in the mountainous region of the Lake District is very time consuming and often dangerous for those involved when they confront the hunters. The drone will help us disrupt more hunts, save more foxes and help protect the monitors and hunt saboteurs.

Thank you for everything you do. There’s no excuse for animal abuse. Fox-hunting should be illegal and those who participate should be punished by the legal system. Thank you for trying to help our wonderful natural wildlife.

I hate the hunt and all they stand for. I live near the blencathra Fox hounds and close to an avid supporter. He even takes his young daughter along. The barking of the hounds in the mornings which we can hear quite clearly makes me feel ill. I have reported the hunts on numerous occasions and i find the police less than competent. These people are taking liberties, they push the law and don't care. They are illegal through and through. Every time I see a fox I am scared for it.I have to remain anonymous as I am so close but i will report suspicious behaviour. The sooner we can get it stopped the better.
Great work you do! Best wishes.
