Creative Studios for Creative Kids

It's no secret that the arts are disappearing from schools around the country and being replaced by endless preparation for standardized testing. But how are we going to train the artists of tomorrow?

I came up with Creative Studios- an art program that will expose kids to art forms like fashion design, fine art and creative writing. Those are the 3 I'm starting out with, but there will be lot's more in the future. 

My first CS project will be a free program on Staten Island. We (that's me and my business guy, Chris) found a place- a lovely church that is more than willing to host us for free. We have lots of kids who can't wait to start creating with us. But we don't have any start up money. I thought I could do it with things I already have- after all I've been doing art since basically forever. But you need a lot of stuff for 15 kids per class. 

All donations will go towards art supplies (basically- the more we get, the bigger and better projects these kids will be doing), a nice chalk and/or dry erase board for brain storming, paper and writing utensils so no good idea gets forgotten.

I have HUGE plans for the future of Creative Studios. In the next few years, look for us setting up shop in your town, ready to turn the little kids into little artists, ready to change the world for the better. But for now, we are going to start with 45 kids from the south shore of Staten Island.
