It saddens us to announce the untimely death of Craig Schweitzer. Craig passed away unexpectedly on June 8, 2019.

Funeral plans are still being arranged, and any updates regarding locations and times will be posted here.

What has happened is beyond comprehension and we are all still in shock. Understandably, Craig’s three children Thayne (19), Tara (17) and Tayden (14) are struggling to cope and navigate their way through the heavy task of making arrangements and putting their father to rest.

We’ve received numerous messages from people asking how to help, so this campaign has been created as a way to keep everyone up-to-date with plans, and also offer a place for messages and donations to be left.

If you would like to donate, we thank you in advance for your generosity. If you are not able to donate, please feel free to leave messages and comments for the family to read.

Follow this page will ensure that you receive any updates regarding the funeral.

If anyone has any questions, you can send a message by clicking on the name at the top of the page.

  • We are deeply saddened with the loss of our friend Craig. Many good times were had with him and his family and our hearts and prayers go out to his family in these difficult times. I've known Craig for about 25 years and brought him to Alaska to work as a pilot. Even though he only had about 700 hours total time I took his fathers assurance that he could fly and he said I wouldn't be disappointed in his flying ability. I flipped the coin and got him an airline ticket and his Alaska flying journey began. Craig was a very talented individual that could do anything. He was a great pilot that could fly anything that he could figure out how to start! Craig was proud of his family and his kids were his greatest accomplishment and joy. Sheila only got to know him over the last 10 years but she experienced the good traits he had and the love for his kids he had as well. I have a thousand stories I can share with his kids someday if they want. He will be missed.
