On Monday, 23 March, the South African government announced a 21-day Covid-19 lockdown, effective at midnight on Thursday, 26 March until midnight on 16 April.

I am currently employed as a contractor. Therefore I did not have the necessary funds in order to stockpile basics such as groceries before the lockdown began. I only have enough food for another two to three days and I do not know how I am going to provide food for the children when the food runs out.

We are in need of at least $500 to keep the family from starvation, but the rent will also be due at the end of the month, so we are also appealing for funds to pay the landlord or we will be put out on the street as soon as the lockdown is over, with nowhere to go.

Please, we are appealing for approximately $3000 altogether so that we can at least put some food on the table, so that the children do not die of fright and hunger.

The funds will only be used to cover groceries and rent. Please help and support us and we will be forever grateful for your donation. We will in turn help others as well who have been affected by the merciless Covid-19 lockdown that's happening all over the world and in South Africa as well. God bless you.
