Please support the long-held dream of a shared, intentional home for the formerly incarcerated, steeped in connection, mindfulness and restorative practices.
5 inspired and hard-working individuals need your help to raise funds for last month’s rent, deposit and start up costs for a safe, shared home. Studies show that stable housing and community support are among the most critical factors in promoting healthy reentry and preventing recidivism.
This group meets weekly in circle, practices Non-Violent Communication principles, hosts community conversations to educate and build alliances with the public and longs for a true home for grounding and mutual support.
5 grateful men have now all moved into our lovingly created and furnished Restorative Home! It has been a whirlwind getting everyone settled, furniture and supplies in place, paperwork taken care of and all other details. While we're overwhelmingly grateful for support on all sides, we're still $1,195 short of our goal.
Please help however you can so we can close out this campaign cleanly and put the men on solid financial footing going forward. THANK YOU!!
Thank you for the continued support that keeps coming in for this amazing pilot project! The house is coming together physically with new paint, gently used furniture, creative vision and plenty of elbow grease.
We have had some disappointing news from Department of Corrections, and it illuminates the fact how badly such a Restorative Home is needed, and how badly all humans want to matter to someone and be included.
Please continue to share this post and help us raise the remaining $1,750 of our goal so all start-up costs are covered. Thank you!
Great progress is happening! We're humming along with painting, furniture acquisition, Home Depot runs, planning of every stripe and the creation of House Agreements to promote respectful community and accountability. However, we still need funds!
A HUGE thank you to those who have already generously donated. We're so appreciative. And... please continue to tell your friends and colleagues about this opportunity to support something truly unique and visionary.
SO proud of this group and the radiant success of last night's first community conversation, "The Face of Felons: Beyond the Label." We had a great turnout, and the men bravely shared their personal stories. Here's to continuing to build bridges and create trust and support for one another.
Huge thanks for the momentum so far, and for both online and offline donations coming in! Your support is making a world of difference financially and emotionally. Thank you for continuing to spread the word to help us expand our reach!
Thank you to everyone who contributed and who has supported all aspects of our first Restorative Home! Due to your generous contributions we have met our goal. Hooray! With much gratitude and many blessings to all...…
