What is Comix Lab?

Comix Lab is a bold, new, and exciting magazine designed to bridge the gap between the mainstream and indie comic communities. With in-depth articles and reviews that feature up and coming and well known artist creators alike, the magazine will serve as a platform for the talent to showcase and promote their comic book and graphic novel projects. It also serves as a place to share tips on the trade and give honest feedback about the tools used to create the works being showcased. Inside the medium online video interviews, there will be creators and, of course, full of art and pin-up images.

Comix Lab is here to turn comic artists, writers, inkers, colorists, and letter-ists into more than faceless names in a book, but to turn them into the household names and rock stars they crave and should be! Welcome to COMIX LAB, where we are serving up comic book realness one issue at a time.

We have rounded up an exciting team of talented writers, editors, artists and designers from across the US and around the globe to help bring this publication to life.

For months we have been gathering ideas, assigning stories, and collecting art to create a magazine that has never been done before with the contributing talents of:

We Need Money...Lot's Of Money

Magazine publication is not an inexpensive endeavor, especially when printing and hosting one of top quality. We’re looking to Go Get Funding (GGF) to help us get off the ground. Comix Lab’s contributors have worked with us at below market rates because they believe in the idea. Now we need readers who, like our contributors, believe in our idea and are prepared to support it by purchasing a subscription.

The prices we have set for single issues and subscriptions are competitive with other premium monthly publications, and we hope that those who appreciate quality will agree that it’s worth every penny.

All funds raised will go to:

• Print & Production Cost
• Website Design & Interfacing
• Software
• Packaging & Shipping
• Promotion & Additional Project Cost

The amount needed to get this production to its ideal state is $20,000. So far we have been able to come out of pocket to lay down the foundation, but we are unable to continue to do so. This is why we are asking YOU, the people of GGF, to make this possible. Without your support, this project will be delayed in the development stages and will become a burden to all those who have already devoted their time and money. We are counting on you and your donations to see us through to the magazine shelf.
