Hey friends, some good news I'm so excited to share: I'm one of 12 creatives chosen for a film retreat in Colorado (almost right in the centre of the USA) – happening this June 2019!

The 8Parables film retreat has been organised by Ed (who co-founded The Jubilee Project) and his wife Jan (she's Singaporean!) and 8Parables is their latest project to share powerful human stories through film and raise a generation of young creatives to make these films.

This is a timely opportunity as I've spent years with a God-given vision to invest in youths who desire to create visual stories – just like I did when I was younger – to teach them whatever I know about the art of filming and editing. And this has come up just as I finally graduate from film school and am praying about how to move forward.

Skyping with Ed and hearing that same heart so many miles away from me confirmed that something huge is about to happen when we all come together to create. So I'm currently raising funds for my air ticket to the States. Any amount will go the distance for a little dream like mine.

It's also my first time to the US and as a student it really cost a lot for me to get there, but thankful enough for 8Parable to put a roof under my head while i go through this journey of discipleship with them. Really want to be able to go there and learn and bring it back here to Singapore.
