Hi,

My name is Darian Blankemeier and I am a sophomore at Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Florida. I am majoring in Early Childhood Education with a minor in English. After I finish college, I want to open my own daycare to help young children.

In 2011-2012, I completed my freshman year. I thoroughly enjoyed it, made many friends, and learned to lean on God. I was a work-assistance student and took 16 credit hours while working in Dining Services.

I was able to pay for my freshman year by myself with the help of my savings account I've had since I was twelve. I started working and saving for college at twelve  with my first job as a babysitter. I did that for three years, then entered the food business at fifteen as a busgirl for three years. In addition to working as a busgirl, I tried to work many side jobs which included catering, working on a farm, and lifeguarding at the local pool during the summers. Doing this helped me to save enough money for my freshman year of college.

Now, looking at my sophomore year, I am able to pay for only my fall semester. I have worked two jobs this summer (2012) and have been hired to be a Residence Assistant at school for this year. These jobs will help pay for some of my college bill, but I will still come up short.

I am asking for your assistance with my school bill for my sophomore year. Any amount of donation is greatly appreciated as well as your prayers.

Thank you for your time and consideration. God bless!!
