COLLEGE LOANS THAT JUST WON’T QUIT!

My baby girl Nicole will graduate college in May 2016 with $40,000 in school loans...what kind of life is that for someone starting out in life? As I was a struggling single parent we tried to get as much help as we could through scholarships, but it just wasn't enough. She left college to serve in Afghanistan for a year and a half with the Navy, now she is back to finish her degree, work full time and serve in the Navy Reserve. We have both been paying on these loans but it doesn't seem to make much of a dent and we're getting nowhere fast!

She's studying film and photography and would like to pursue this avenue when she graduates, but saddled with so much school loan debt, I don't see this happening, especially since she will be returning to Afghanistan around the end of 2016 again. She doesn't mind going over there; besides her duties with the Navy, she collects food and clothes for the people that live around the base that have nothing. She has made many thankful friends on her last tour of duty over there and I'm sure she'll do it again this time. You see she has a big heart and it breaks mine that she is going to have to be paying these loans for a very, very long time!
