My name is Thomas Steele and I'm currently attending Ithaca college as a freshman studying physics and engineering, with hopes of taking after my grandfaher and going into aerospace engineering. Ithaca's physics/engineering 3-2 program is an incredibly intuitive program and the school offers a fantastic learning experience, but unfortunately the tuition of $55,000 per year is almost impossible for a low income family like mine to maintain. I was lucky enough to receive a mountain of financial aid to help get me here this year, but even with all the aid, my family still had to take out $17,000 worth of loans, for this year alone, and the cost of attendance is expected to rise slightly next year. To help offset this, I'm working as a teaching assistant in the lower level science classes at the school. Science is my passion, and I wouldn't choose anywhere else but Ithaca for the pursuit of my passion, I really would appreciate any help you all could offer us. Every dollar counts, thank you so much!
