Coco the Husky 🐶

This is Coco, she is a loving husky who we rescued back in the summer of 2013 from people who mistreated her.

We were looking for another husky companion for our older husky (Prince) we drove over three hours to a place where we met Coco, what we saw was a husky who was skin and bones, underweight and very skittish.

My wife and I couldn't leave her with her owners after seeing her and made the decision to buy her and take her to her new home.

After bringing her home it wasn't long after we started to notice that she dripped urine,medically the condition is diagnosed as Ectopic ureter. It is different to incontinence because Coco doesn't have any control over continuous dripping, we have tried many medications and none have worked, surgery is the only option to try and give Coco a normal life.

From the vets that we met in the initial stages advice that we was given was to put her down, this was never an option for us, because more than anything we wouldn't give up on an animal that needs help.

Coco enjoys living inside and out, when she is inside with us we have to use nappies on her to keep her clean and it stops her from dripping urine inside.

To look at her now she has put on some great weight and muscle and loves to go bike riding with us. A husky full of life and yet for some people the easiest option is to put her down.

Due to Coco having this defect from birth no insurance company would cover her.

What we want to do is raise money for any scans and surgery that will cost in the region of £3000. This will fix her disability so she can continue to be a happy husky free of wearing nappies for the rest of her adventurous days.
