Hello everyone, My name is James Richards. I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of Dundee in Scotland, in my final year of study towards a bachelor of science in Pharmacology. This fundraising page has been created in the hope that I can gather enough donations to allow me to continue studying in the field of Human Clinical Embryology and Assisted Conception.

With only a few months left to go before graduation I need to put together a plan for what I will be doing in the future. As it stands, it looks like I should be achieving a first class honours degree which will allow me to go on to study further in pretty much any related field. I have been offered a place on a one year masters course in Human Clinical Embryology and Assisted Conception here in dundee, which I intend to undertake. The fees for the course are £15000 and it will allow me to acquire knowledge of the many procedures and underlying mechanisms of infertility diagnosis and the methods of helping those unable to reproduce to have children.

Right now I am studying for my final exams and finishing coursework for my final semester, however, in my free time I am working on a review of my theories on a new method of male infertility diagnosis. After months of research and work I believe that I have created a solid hypothesis as to why some males are infertile due to the lack of a certain enzyme which has not been considered before. My work has been acknowledged by some leading professors in the field and will hopefully be published in the Journal of Human Reproduction once it is complete.  I genuinely think that this field of research is ideal for me and that I will be able to make some real advancements in the research of infertility, which is a problem that affects a lot of couples- with an estimated one in 7 babies now being born by some form of assisted conception.

So please, give me the chance to put everything I have into researching and developing new methods in this field, by donating towards my further education and giving me access to the fantastic guidance, equipment and facilities that this course can offer me.

  Thank you.
