Help Flood Victims Rebuild Mosque
The last flood that hit Bangladesh about five months ago left the small and poor village of Padum Shahar struggling to recover. The only mosque near the area had been destroyed during the flood, and the community is struggling to raise funds to rebuild it.
Right now they are all gathering in the place where they are trying to rebuild the mosque on gunny sack mats, enduring both rain and the blazing sun to pray. They have been for five months now.
This image was sent to us directly from the president of the mosque asking for help, along with a personal and sincere letter directed to both those in the village and those outside willing to help.
"With great love, respect, and gratefulness, I give you my salaam. I request your attention and time. We are currently working towards rebuilding our mosque. As we have even now yet to build a cieling, in order to complete construction, we humbly ask for the kind help of our friends, relatives, and respectfully all those who are willing and able. All donations would be grateful accepted and appreciated."
They Need Your Help
This village is deep in poverty and unable to rebuild the mosque up on their own, as they are already struggling to survive after the devastating flood that lasted for a whole month. The houses were destroyed, the crops were ruined, and the village resources were wiped clean. The roads are unsafe, and the village people are struggling to get back on their feet.
Please help us rebuild the mosque to provide the village people with a clean and safe place to practice their faith. Any amount would greatly help them. The funds would go directly to the President of the mosque, A.H.M Sulaiman, writer of the letter above. The remaining money will go towards helping people of Padum Shahar recover from the flood.
May Allah bless you for your generosity.
