Claire’s Adoption

Hi! Thank you for taking time to help us!  As most of you know, I have been the "mother" for Claire since she was 6 months old. She just turned 3 in April and we are finally in the final stages of adoption. I have saved up from my income tax, to extra money I make, to any thing I can put towards it but sadly I am still almost $3000 shy. I put this together for not me but Claire. She means the world to me, and to keep her in family, I want nothing more than to adopt her. Please help her and help make us a forever family!!

If you want to take time and read our story here it goes: Claire was born happy and healthy April 22nd, 2010 to her mother (my cousin), H. H was very into a unhealthy lifestyle. She left Claire in the hands of her mother (my aunt), L. L lived with her mother (my grandmother) and she too had an unhealthy lifestyle. Now my grandma, is of course older and can not care for herself, muchless a baby. So L was doing both, or so we thought. according to my grandma, Claire was left in her car seat or crib 24/7. Yes, a car seat in the house. L would leave her to do drugs. One night L got so high on drugs she staretd acting out, in front of Claire, against my grandma and ended up my father had to call the cops on her. He rushed to help my grandma until the cops arrived. L went to jail. This left Claire, to no one basically, because again H left her and grandma is too fragile. Therefore my dad called me. Asked me what I thought we should do. Me, a single, 23 year old (at the time), working, etc decided, I would take Claire in. So I did. Not having anything for Claire, not knowing what to do with a baby or anything, here I was about toput my life on hold and take in a 6 month old baby. Long story short,Claire has changed my life. Since then L has passed away, my grandma still is slowly dwindling away in health and H, well she fled someone off to the east coast. I would not change my life for anything, Claire has changed my life for the better and I want to continue to be a part of her life!
