City of Refuge

City of Refuge's mission is originated from the scripture found in I Samuel 22:2(And everyone who was in distress,and everyone who was in debt, and everyone who was bitter in soul, gathered to him.) Our motto is found in Matthew 5:16( Let your light so shine before men that they may see your Good Worksand glorify your father who is in heaven). City of Refuge offers both life saving resources and life building tools to individuals and families in Sussex and Kent County Delaware that are living on the margin. Our goal is to provide acess to and information about the best possible opportunities for success to those who are willing to work hard for positive change. This property will allow us to enhance our services to our clients at an even greater capacity.  Our services are: Education (adult and children) Workforce development, Food & Pantry and Youth. The facility will allow us to even implement a youth arts program utilizing the award winning Mosaic curriculum adopted by the Detroit Youth Theater. Our efforts now include us serving out of several local properties but this one facility will allow us to bring services from one location.
