Chikowore High School in Mhondoro, Zimbabwe Needs your Help

On the 16th of October 2023, there was a heavy storm in Mhondoro, Zimbabwe which left a trail of destruction and damage on school infrastructure .

The administration block had its roof partially damaged leaving files and important documents exposed to the weather. The storm did not stop there it blew off sheets from School Blocks, and most walls have been defaced.

The School Administration office was inundated with reports from teachers and support staff after they had found out about the damage at their houses(staff quarters). All houses had been affected in one way or another. Property, clothing and food stores for all households were all badly affected. As we speak right now, teachers have nowhere to put up safely. They have young children whose daily life and comfort has been affected. Linen is still being dried outside and the psychological effect of the storm and destruction is evident on every teacher.

The storm caused damage on the Agriculture shed which was being used as the Science Laboratory. The whole roof was blown off and the wall was left cracked and defaced. The administration building had its roof partially blown away and files were left exposed to the weather.

Please help towards Fundraising to help our community School. Your donations will help in rebuilding the school teachers' buildings that were affected by the storm, and buying food stuff to those affected. The campaign is also on behalf of the afftected School children, School staff, and the community at large. The Hailstorm caused significant damage to the buildings, and we are asking for your donations, no matter how big or small, we thank you.
