Campaign Story
I am a 69-year father and grandfather of one grandson, Meyersdal, Gauteng.
I was first diagnosed with lymphatic cancer in March 2015.
It has now reared its ugly head again.
I was blessed with two and a half years of remission.
I am a hard-working, self-sufficient man, doing the work I can to keep going and my mind busy. I would like to think that if I can overcome this Cancer, I would have a good couple more years ahead of me.
My mother lived to the age of 97!
My son and grandson still need to have me around for a good couple of years and
due to Covid and my illness, times have been tough on them.
My wife passed away due to hospital negligence. She was insulin dependent for many years and the staff had administered too much saline, and she passed 3 days later - Cause of death was pulmonary oedema.
I had to start Chemotherapy again 3 months ago and the costs are extremely high. I only have a hospital plan so Discovery does not cover my chemo.
I had a small business that I ran for thirteen years but I had to close two weeks before Covid.
I have only managed to finance only the first cycle of Chemo.
Every donation will help me further my treatment on the road to beating this Cancer again.
I am very grateful for any assistance.
