Every once in a while on our lifetimes, we’re forced to work to support our parents, and our family. I had started all well, like a new person starts. I left Myanmar to work in Thailand and got settled here back in 1995, and eventually worked so good that I was given a house to stay included with my job in 2006. In 2014 when the company closed due to bankruptcy, I had no choice but to mortgage the house in order to support my family. Sadly, I didn’t knew the area my house is located at is a residential area where the rates would climb up as high as 900,000 USD. I couldn’t pay off the mortgage loans at time as I had no source of income and I was forced to use my savings for which I had planned to save for my children’s education. I was being pressurized every single day to leave the property until my friend told me why not ask the bank for buyback? I did contact the bank and was quoted 1,223,743$ which was unusually high as the bank was aiming to earn a profited income which is against the law as they deal in monetary, not in properties. Being under the consumer law and the rightful person for buyback choice I had every right to ask the bank on what basis was the price calculated at? But I wasn’t given a reply. A few months later I got to know that the bank has sold my property for 680,000$ which was a clear sign about how I have been deceived. The new owner has been causing mental stress and damage to me and my family and has taken me to the court. Do we people really deserve to be cheated? Does it really needs to be targeted on my family purposely? This has not just made us stand in a position to be homeless but has damaged my children’s education and career future.

Please help us defend and fight for our rights as this needs to stop, the banks have to stop playing with properties which can cause trouble to families
