We are looking at changing the lives of the people in white squatter camps, we are currently busy with a project with Kraaifontein settlement in Cape Town and starting with the first in Amanzimtoti KwaZulu Natal.Changing 1 squatter camp 1 meal at a time.

We ask that people open their hearts and minds to help the less fortunate and give them a better 2020.

Why we are doing this.

The Bible says that if you give a man a fish, he will eat today, but teach a man to fish and he will eat forever.

I was fortunate to be introduced to a friend, Leon, Leon they told me about a project that he and his wife is involved with and what they are doing to help farmers suffering due to the drought and the great success they are having with their project. It was not just someone giving money, it was something that the farmers are doing and are able to grow and create a constant money influx. This got me thinking about how I can make a change in someone life with what I am doing.

Yes, I am aware that there are various projects running and helping the farmers during this difficult time. Today people are doing fundraising for various causes and it is an ongoing process. They raise a bunch of money and then after a week or two they do it again. They never find a permanent solution. Something that can continue to support and provide to the group. People are good and time after time they open their wallets to help.

It struck me that I can do the same and giveback in a way that people can improve their lives every day, make the donation give over and over. I started thinking about where I can make a change. I thought about it and decided I wanted to make a change to the lives of people in the white squatter camps around South Africa.

The aim is to provide a group in need with something that can give them back their self-worth and respect. A permanent source of income to help and support their little community. This will not give a permanent solution where they can all just sit back and do nothing, what it will do is provide opportunity where they can have meals on the table and generate income that they can assist residence to do more.

The food truck will be operated by the people living in the camp under our supervision. The money will be held in an account managed by representatives elected by the residence living in the camp and a representative of Linkedtohunting (Pty) Ltd.

This post will also be made available if a sponsor would like to be more hands-on. This will be done to ensure that the project is success that will be lasting.

Licencing and permitting will be done by Linkedtohunting (Pty) Ltd. Arrangements for attending fairs and events will also be done in conjunction with the camp and Linkedtohunting (Pty) Ltd.
