Campaign Story
"We didn’t fed our children properly for 3 days. I cried for 20 minutes watching them eating proper food. Thank you for helping us it means the world to us"
Unfortunately like many countries all over the world Cyprus has been hit by the Corona Virus and the country is in a lock down situation.
Being a country that relies heavily on tourism the vast majority of the population has been hit hard by the governments (correct) decision to impose a lock down and stop business working.
Unfortunately that means a huge percentage of the population have no work, income or food to eat.
We were one of the businesses that had to close but we decided that we would offer to try and support as many people as we can by providing them with a daily free food delivery service.
The demand has been overwhelming and within a two weeks we have seen our daily deliveries rise from 5 or 6 to 37 deliveries a day and more calls and families contacting us daily.
We have had some donations of food and cash already but should this situation continue we will not be able to keep up with the demand and will unfortunately have to let people down, which means they will go hungry.
Many of these people had been out of work from November when the hotels and bars closed for the winter and had just started back to work when the lock down was imposed. This means they had already endured 5 months on limited income and that tap has now been turned off.
All the money raised will go toward buying, preparing and delivering meals to the many families and Children who are in need.
We don't have much, certainly we haven't had any income for weeks now but we have a strong resolve to help as many people as we can.
Please help us to help others as without at least one meal a day many people will suffer so much more than they already are. Especially the children

Rather than acquiring yet more stuff to dust my mum opted for a birthday donation to help feed other people. Happy birthday mum!
