Grant currently attends a STEM program Charlotte, North Carolina, which focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Grant currently ranks 58 of 550 students with a grade point average of 3.75/4.25.
Grant's two passions are Science and History. Last year Grant attended the National Youth Leadership Forum: Careers in National Security - Diplomacy, Intelligence, and Defense. This year Grant has been invited to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum: Careers in Medicine. Grant was selected to attend due to his "demonstrated leadership ability" through National Youth Leadership Forum's academic partnership with George Mason University.
Grant's family needs help to send him to the National Youth Leadership Forum: Careers in Medicine. Speakers from Duke University, Wake Forest University, and UNC Chapel Hill will be presenting at the National Youth Leadership Forum: Careers in Medicine. At this forum, Grant will have the opportunity to learn more about career options available in the science/medical field. Grant will also gain valuable insight as to the requirements and course work needed to pursue this academic pathway in high school, as well as prepare him to make important decisions about programs and career options in college. In addition, Grant will earn 2 college credits from George Mason University for his participation in the National Youth Leadership Forum: Careers in Medicine.
Your donation will be used for registration fees for the event, travel expenses, and the purchase of professional business attire required of participants.
