HI, I'm Christy, an old soul with creative energy running through my veins. How many of you can remember writing or receiving a love letter when you were younger???? Did you perhaps have a special box that you kept them all in so that you could occasionally go back through and read them? Love letters, or just a hand written letters in general were a way for us to express with confidence things and emotions that we just didn’t have the courage or guts to say out loud. Sometimes with juuuuuuuust the right combination of words, you could completely capture the memory of a certain night or let someone know you wanted to be more than "just friends." The possibilities can be endless when it comes to writing a letter. You can be just as brave and fearless as you want to be. Somehow as time has gone by writing letters has almost become non-existent which is exactly why you will often here letter writing referred to as “The lost Art”. Our generation has been taken over by technology and most have forgotten what it’s like to receive a hand written letter from someone instead of just getting a text alert over the phone. Call me an old soul, but there is almost no describing the way you feel when reading an old Love Letter. In Verona, Italy there is a wall of Love letters for tourist from all over the world to come and enjoy. What I am going to do is to take that incredible idea and throw in just a bit of a modern twist. I will be opening up “Capulet’s Courtyard”!!!!! Imagine a small quirky entry building filled wall to wall with some of the most famous Love Letters that have ever existed on display for everyone to read; leading out to a courtyard full of food trucks, twinkling lights and beautiful music. I am so incredibly passionate about my dream and I know that with your help I can and will make this happen because like the quote says “Be fearless in the pursuit of whatever it is that sets your soul on fire.” Even the smallest amount will be greatly appreciated.
