Campaign Story
Cancer can take away a lot of things but never hope. I have started this Go Fund Me page for a very special lady named Thea Lategan. She was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in April 2003.
She created the group "Multiple myeloma" on January 27, 2011. It currently has 2,260 Members from all over the world who share their journey and experiences. She has shared her journey and I am sure she has given hope to many.
She has never given up. Please see the latest update from her on the group:
"My Oncologist informed me that there is nothing else he can do for me except giving blood and platelets as needed. He said I am lucky to live so long. According to him, my body will reject any chemo given to me. I asked for an old chemo Endoxan that is available in SA. He said he will give me 15mg. If I can get other chemos from overseas he will administer it. There is more than 60 percent of myeloma cells in my bone marrow. We do not have a variety of chemo in South Africa for Multiple Myeloma. I can't give up that easily"
Please help to get Thea the Myeloma specialists/ treatments that she needs. We have not lost hope - whatever we need to do - let's do it. Any assistance in covering costs that her medical aid does not cover will be truly appreciated and we will be forever grateful. Cancer can take away a lot of things but never hope.
