Working alongside The Barbados Community Foundation and Living Barbados Magazine we are providing the opportunity to expats, current visitors, folks back home and Welcome Stampers to support a needs-based response to the current shutdown and its lasting affect on individual Bajans.
While some Bajans are still working in essential services, others have been out of work for the duration of the shutdown, and some, much longer. The tourism sector in particular has faced great challenges: affecting real people.
We hope you will join us, a couple of Canadians, who think that there is a role for us to play in supporting the island of Barbados and the vibrant local communities that graciously host us on vacations, working remotely and enjoying an international experience.
Give: We aim to raise $7,200 USD. Let's see how much our proud Canadian-Bajan network can really do!
We can’t be the only ones who have saved a few dollars not being able to engage in activities, meals out or shopping whether at home or on the island. Maybe we can pay it forward?
Share: Give if you are able and please BOOST the campaign by sharing with family and friends who may also have a fond connection to Barbados.
HOW WILL THE FUNDS BE USED?
The Barbados Community Foundation will provide the funding to their existing grantees and purchase vouchers for groceries, utilities, internet connections for virtual schooling and other emerging needs to support families most affected by the shut down and COVID-19.
STAND ALONGSIDE OUR BAJAN HOSTS
