Caitlyn Pickett – 2024 United World Games

I've always loved basketball. I can't remember a time when I didn't. That's why when I was given the opportunity to apply for a spot on a team participating in the 2024 United World Games in Klagenfurt, Austria, I decided to give it a shot. As part of the application process, I had to ask for letters of recommendation, fill out an application, provide video, and interview with the coach. I figured that regardless of making the team or not it would be great experience for the future. I was nervous and excited all at the same time. They were looking for not only great basketball players but also students with great character that would represent the USA well. At the end of that rigorous process, I was selected for 1 of 10 spots on the women's U16 basketball team playing at the 2024 United World Games in June. It was a dream come true! Not only will I get to play basketball internationally with teams from around the world, but I will also get to experience new cultures, develop leadership skills, and make new friends.

In order to make this dream a reality, I would love your support. Any amount helps and is appreciated. I know I will represent the USA well and make the most of this opportunity that has been presented to me.
