Campaign Story
Buy a meal for needy family @ $3 per meal.
Hopes In Meals is a charity started in 2020. We would like to seek your kind help and support to allow us to continue serving meals to the ones who can’t afford their meals or face difficulties in doing so. A $3 meal may seem to be easy for some, however for many of the ones that’s fallen of the cracks, it is a difficulty.
You may not have experience the pain and suffering of not having $3 to buy a meal, however this does not mean that people like them don’t exist. Hunger is still real and happening every minute.
An elderly couple we encountered lately put us into deeper thoughts on life meanings, how we should appreciate the simple joy of having food on our table. They were both admitted to hospital due to hunger, they do not have any children, did not know where to ask for help, depleted of their savings and have no money left to buy food.
To the elderly couple digging $6 out to buy food was a challenge, by itself.
Thankful to volunteers, they have now been placed in old folks home. Yet, we regret that we could have done more to prevent this from happening. Our limited resource prevent us from reaching out to more.
We genuinely need your support to even donate a meal, to let us pull this people up and prevent this from happening again.
If you are able to spare a $3, please donate to the following link or Hopes In Meals account.
We are targeting to secure a year meal for the 2000 needy elderly across Singapore. It will be a total of 4000 meals, that consist of lunch and dinner for 365 days.
No amount is too little, even $3 can help fill an elderly’s stomach for a proper meal and bring them hopes and ray of light.
