Campaign Story
Tara and Gia Tuntas lost a father on Tuesday May 28, 2013. Aside from grieving this loss we are experiencing the financial burden of honoring our fathers wishes and ability to provide a proper burial for him. We both loved our father dearly and with no ill will he was not able to provide any monies to take care of his funeral and burial other than a plot at Elmwood Cemetary in River Grove, Illinois.
Our father, Vaughn Tuntas, spend the last six months fighting metastisized renal cancer. He found out last November that is spread to his lungs and lymphnodes. Despite a poor prognosis from all of his doctors. They encourage him to fight which he did. Unfortunately there were many other health complications that contributed to his death.
The primary reason for this donation site is to help my sister and I. We are both single mothers. I, Tara, have two daughters. Lillian is twelve years. Evelyn is eight years old. My sister, Gia, has three children. She has a daughter and two sons. Alyssa is ten years old. Austin is five years old. Damian is eleven months. We are very torn between what we can for our father without a huge financial impact on our responsibility to our children.

Tara and Gia, I am so sorry about your father and sorry that we were not able to attend the funeral. Living out of state makes it hard to attend important events like this. You father was a great guy and always had a big heart. He was like a big older brother to me and always treated me as family. I am glad that I was able to talk to him last winter while I was in town visiting my mother. My prayers are with him, you and your families. I hope to see you all sometime soon. Your children look beautiful!! With Love, Pete
