Baby Bungee (yes pronunced like Bungee jumping [buhn-jee]) is about 7 weeks old now. She was found underneath my friends house (screaming like a banshee at 3 am) because her leg was twisted and caught up in a twine like cluster of rusted looking string (I have no clue what it was) so that's how she acquired the name!
Mamma was a stray and we didn't know she was under the house until the soft mewing sounds were heard a few weeks ago! Once Bungee was rescued, and the string cut off, her poor little paw which was swollen 3x more that in the pic she shows very good signs of wanting to live!! Mamma would not nurse her but we held mamma still so we could get one last good meal from her. Bungee is old enough to be weaned and eat soft foods and kitten formula so it will be a couple weeks of contstant watching!
Bungee was seen at the vet's office by Dr. Kelly and she specializes in small animals and kittens/puppies at Gentle Care in Nixa, MO
http://nixavet.vetstreet.com/ we had to keep an eye on her leg to see if the circulation was going to come back but it didn't. She has to have her leg amputated and now the skin has died and opened up around her wound and the leg has shriveled up. I received a quote from the vet and it is around $430.00 unless she has to stay over night then it will be highter so I set the goal for $500.00 ANY help is greatly appreciated!!!
Any money that is not used currently for her bill will be saved so when she is 6 months old, she will be spayed with it because we don't want her to have any accidents and have kittens!!!
