Building a Boat!

I am beginning a personal project to build a Sport Fishing boat from scratch. The boat will be primarily used as a charter for a family member that is unemployed and has three young children to support. This family member is trying to put food on the table and put these children through school. I want to give him the opportunity to grow a business of his own and become self-sustaining.

The boat will be state of the art, with all safety requirements met perfectly, to run a long term business. If I raise over the goal amount, the extra funds will go to The Lunchbox Fund which is a charity that feeds orphaned and at-risk school kids. it is an organisation close to my heart because my relative has struggled to feed his own kids at times. Every child should have an education in South Africa and no child should have to worry about their daily meal.

For the build, I also intend hiring in some currently unemployed people from a township close by, giving them an opportunity to learn new skills and earn some money.

I am in the process of setting up a blog site where the build may be tracked with photos and videos.
