My family wishes to help build a better home for these rescued elephants in TERF - Thai Elephant Research and Conservation Fund in Khao Yai.
We have been in Thailand for 1 month and we have currently succeeded in building a steady platform for these gentle giants this year, and have bought food and medicine as well. We will be going back going end of September. However, now we need your help to build a better home for these elephants and a newly rescued baby elephant to stay.
All your donations will go towards building:
1) A pool for the elephants to bathe and swim in
2) A new shelter for them to stay in
3) 2 more new platforms
4) Install LED lights to light up the place as it is very very dark at night
5) Upgrade the columbarium to make a wonderful final resting place for the beloved elephants.
While volunteering and helping to build the first platform in TERF, we witnessed how many things need to be done to make the elephants’ lives comfortable, and how vulnerable they can be. So much attention they have and yet, there is so much care they still need.
Please, if you feel compelled to support our project, do donate, and if you would like to join us and offer a helping hand, you can contact us @ 9220 8318. TERF have been doing a great job, have greatly helped the elephants in their efforts, and now they need our help to kick off their dream!
(Learn more about TERF's Dr Alongkot and his many projects here, where he not only helps these kind elephants, but others such as the blind, children and even the marine life.)
P.S. If you're wondering why the elephants feet are purple, don't worry! It's just the colour to the medicine :)
