Campaign Story
UPDATE, JANUARY 2022
Dear friends and supporters,
On behalf of Team BSCRRC, I would like to thank you for supporting our rescue morally and financially during the very challenging for everyone 2021! You empowered and enabled us to keep going even when we couldn't see a light in tunnel. You are our heroes!
Sadly, right now we found ourselves in dire straits and unable to make ends meet. Our Lucky's intestinal infection refuses to go away and he developed fungus. His treatment is ongoing. We have two more seriously sick cats - Tony, who is suffering from chronic respiratory disease and Bobby, who is with Calicivirus. And our kitty food supplies are critically low.
We desperately need your help! We have only 3 days to raise €290 in order to meet our target, which is crucially important to us. It will enable us to continue to do what we do best - rescuing, treating and rehoming cats in need. Please, donate!

Christmas is just around the corner and a very challenging year is about to end soon. We have managed to keep our rescue and re-homing operation going without interruption. As a result, number of cats in need were saved and quite a few have been adopted by wonderful families. Some of the lucky ones are: Belka & Strelka, Aoife, Mochi, Patrick, Sive, Kieran & Oisin, Ezra and our former long term resident rescues Dotty , her daughter Reni and Rizhko...On 9 December our kitten Norris will depart for her new, forever home!
In October, we rescued two kittens in distress.
*** Baby kitten Lucky already has suffered more than enough for his "5 weeks long" life! Imagine how terrible it must have been for the baby to fend for himself on the mean streets! He was attacked and injured badly by another animal. Then a "human" threw him in the nearby rubbish bin. As soon as we learned about his plight, we admitted him at Dobro Hrumvane vet clinic in Sofia. Lucky spent 52 days in the hospital for treatment of his open wounds coupled with persistent intestinal infection. His vet bill is 555 Euro in total. The outstanding amount to date is 275 Euro, which we must pay A.S.A.P.
***Little Daisy was born with deformed front legs. She wouldn't have lasted on the streets. Right now we are looking for a long term, loving foster home for her and will need funds to pay for her food, toilet and vet bills for second vaccination and examination of her hearing. That will cost around 100 Euro.
To watch the kittens' videos, please click on their names in pink.
Last but not least - our food supplies are dangerously low. We need to place an order in the next 3-4 days for delivery by 20 December. Our food bill is 735 Euro. This is for our large family of rescue resident cats plus the strays of the 3 colonies under our wing.
Please donate! Help us help the forsaken cats and kittens of Bulgaria. Together we are saving lives!
