Brother or sister for Oakley

As you may already be aware, after a long struggle to have a baby - Leah and Mark's son, Oakley, was conceived using IVF. He is an incredible little boy, who is everything in the world to them. They recently had a round of IVF treatment, this was so that they could give their gorgeous son a beautiful brother or sister. Unfortunately, this was not successful, coming to an end sooner than they had hoped.

They are now contemplating trying again with their remaining frozen embryos, however, this comes with quite a price tag.

We first met Leah when we were pregnant with our babies. We met through the Harrogate Babies 2016 page that Leah had set up on Facebook. Since then, we have become great friends and we would love more than anything to help her and Mark try for another baby, as I'm sure most of you would.

It would be amazing if we could raise enough to give them the chance for another round of IVF. If we don't raise the full amount, which I'm confident we will, at least we can offer them a contribution towards the cost of this.

IVF is both physically and emotionally exhausting for those involved, particularly for the woman undergoing the treatments. It is a long journey, however if we can alleviate a small amount of the stress and anxiety involved by helping them financially, it would be wonderful.

Leah has set up many support groups on Facebook for families going through similar experiences. In particular the support groups for new mums in Harrogate, which many of us use on a daily basis for help, advice and often just as a way to communicate with other mums.

Parenthood is hard - but often so is the journey getting there - so, if we could all pull together and give a little back, I know Oakley would be forever grateful to be given the chance for a little brother or sister.

Any contribution that you can manage, no matter how small would be forever appreciated.
