Brooklyn Home Invasion Relief

My girlfriend, my roommate, and I were just victims of a violent and terrifying armed home invasion. The intruders forced us out of our new apartment that we had moved into only 24 hours earlier. They threatened not only our lives, but the lives of our families, if we didn't move out of our new apartment immediatly because we "weren't welcome" in the neighborhood. We are now dealing with the financial hardships and emotional stress this has caused. On top of everything we have no place to live and are commuting very long distances to keep our jobs and lives together.  Finding an affordable and safe place to live in brooklyn was not an easy task and obviously did not work out for us this last time.
