Brittany’s Yoga Teacher Training

Hello friends, family, and everyone else! 

As you may or may not know, I am entering my second year of studies at Queen's University studying psychology and hoping to pursue a future in psychology/psychotherapy. For some time now, I have practiced yoga and meditation routinely. In few words, it has changed the way I view my own life as well as the world around me. As corny as it may sound, I see the world in which I live with clearer eyes and (most definitely) a much clearer mind. I plan to get my yoga teacher training because, well, I want to help others through yoga and meditation in the way that it has helped me. I am now even considering pursuing a career which incorporates yoga (Yoga Therapy) and meditation (Mindfullness therapy) into psychotherapy.

Nevertheless, the tuition for such training is at a much higher cost than what I had expected. For a 200 Hour teacher training course, the price start at about $3000. To go on with training, a 500 Hour course is required, which costs another $3000. Although I'd like to say that I can afford this on my own, on a student's budget and a part-time salary, the reality is that I cannot. However, I am motivated to work my butt off so that I can save up enough money to do this course that I am so truly inspired to do. With enough savings, I may even be able to study in India for this training!

In that case, I'd also like to kindly ask you, friends, family, and whoever else happens to stumble across this fundraising page, for help through my journey to become a yoga instructor. I'd like to reach a goal of $6000, and a minimum of $3000. If you are able to donate, donate only what you can.
