Anglesey fundraiser goes the extra mile to fight heart disease

Local man Gareth Edwards from Bodedern is set to make his mark in the fight for every heartbeat by cycling in the London to Paris cycle event to raise vital funds for the British Heart Foundation (BHF)

Gareth aged 30 a technician for welsh water will be cycling the 249 miles from London to Paris between the 21st and 25th of July 2016 in a bid to raise £1500 to fund essential research into heart disease.

Gareth said ' I decided to take part because this is a charity very close to my heart following the unfortunate happenings of June 2013 when I suffered a heart attack at the age of 28. Following the extensive support that both myself and my family received during this difficult period, I believe that I owe a great deal of gratitude to this charity. without the research and support that the British Heart Foundation offer both victims and families I would not have recovered to full health with the ability to enjoy life and watch my family grow.
