Hello and Welcome to Bringing Hope to Gaza!

Terrible things happen around the world every day unfortunately. But when it comes to Palestinians...and especially Gazans... the western mainstream media is especially complicit in keeping the world in the dark about the truth of the situation there... as it is now and as it has been for decades. Thank goodness for social and alternative media!

It is our duty as human beings to help those in need. Gazans cannot raise funds on their own, they must have the help of individuals on the outside - whether next door or on the other side of the world. If there was ever a time for true humanity, this is it. Let us Stand With Gaza. Let us show these good people that some us know what is happening and want to make a difference. That's where Bringing Hope to Gaza comes in... My name is Wendy and I am a Canadian who wants to help the people of Gaza in some small way. When I became aware of a young man named Khalil Ibrahim who lives there and is desperate to help his fellow Gazans, I was so impressed and touched I decided to help him. Our campaigns are ongoing fundraising efforts and sometimes specific. We have a lot of hope and Khalil and his team have tons of energy but need your help.

Ramadan is upon the Muslim world soon. And the team at Bringing Hope to Gaza has big hopes for this year! As always we seek to help the poor and suffering in Gaza. You can help us help them. Our focus this year is to help the families of cancer patients and orphaned children here

Standing with the people of Gaza is the right thing to do. In this campaign we will be preparing and distributing food parcels as well as nutritious ready-to-eat meals with our second Ramadan Kitchen project. Our campaign also seeks to fulfill Muslims' obligations for Zakat, Sadaqat and finally Eid al-Fitr clothes for children. Here are photos from last year's Ramadan project. Please help us make it even better this year!

We will document where all money received from you with photos and videos. Every dollar goes to donations - we do not keep any of the money raised. Promise! We have many projects that we have implemented over the past years and we are working hard to help as many as possible. Please contribute and share with friends and family. 100% of your donations is used to provide assistance to the poor of Gaza in the form of clothing, food, medicine and HOPE, all these things are in short supply in a snip of land which is home to approximately 1.3 million refugees with over 880,000 depending on aid. Your donations provide food, clothing, medicines and more to those in need. All purchases are made in Gaza so this puts food on the tables of local farmers and the families of small business owners in there who struggle to make ends meet every day of their lives.

12-15 December 2019: Distribution of hats and gloves to 150 children.

7 December 2019: In celebration of International Volunteer Day our team entertained children in Gaza.

30 November 2019: A few hours of fun and joy for children in Gaza. It was a beautiful day with the kids. Entertainment, games and competitions bring a smile to their faces. These children are looking for happiness and comfort not wars and death.

16-17 September 2019: Distribution of knapsacks and school supplies to 100 children. Their smiles can't hide the sadness and stress in their eyes. Life is difficult for children in Gaza...

Project Ramadan 2019

We were able to do a lot of good during our last campaign:

May 10-15, 2019 - The Ramadan kitchen project processed 55 iftar (breaking the fast) meals in a first batch distributed to 55 poor families in Gaza.

May 18-23, 2019 - Distribution of 200 vegetable packages to 200 families averaging 5 family members each.

The total cost of the Project Ramadan 2019 was US $2,372. Food parcels cost US $1,380 and Iftar (breaking the fast) meals US $992.

26 March 2019: Despite the danger due to the latest bombing, our team was able to buy, prepare and distribute food parcels to 50 poor families.

27 February - 3 March 2019 - Presentation of new clothes to 60 children aged 6-7 who live below the poverty line and need assistance.

24-25 February 2019 - Visiting children and providing vegetables and canned goods for about 25 days.

20-21 February 2019 - Preparation and distribution of vegetables and fruit providing assistance to 50 families.

26 January 2019 - Preparation and distribution of parcels of fresh vegetables for 30 poor families.

31 December 2018 and 1 January 2019 - Preparation and distribution of parcels of fresh vegetables to 30 poor families.

27 December 2018 - Distribution of blankets to cancer patients and the oncology department of the European Hospital.

23 December 2018 - Distribution of coats to children in two orphanage schools.

16-17 December 2018 - Preparation and distribution of blankets for renal dialysis patients in Gaza.

22 November 2018 - A fun afternoon for 100 poor and orphaned children in Gaza. Music, dancing, games and lots of laughter bring a bit joy to these sweet youngsters.

12 November 2018 - Assembly of food parcels for families of Araiba Camp in the southern Gaza Strip. The initial visit to the camp and later distribution of the parcels on two occasions, once before the shelling of Gaza and once afterward (we were unable to film the second time). The camp has 13 families consisting of 11 men, 12 women and 62 children. Thank you to Chesham's Love for your generous donation!

22 October 2018 -New shoes for 100 orphaned Kindergarten-aged children.

Food parcels to 350 families averaging 8 men women and children per family. We were also able to give out dried dates and bottled water to 2000 passers-by.

Thank you for your consideration and generosity from Khalil Ibrahim who is on the ground in Gaza. He founded Bringing Hope to Gaza 4 years ago despite his young age and spearheads all efforts there. I am proud to know him - if only on the internet.

And from me, Wendy Forrest, who is grateful to live in Canada and have the ability to help those less fortunate than me in some small way. I am not Muslim and not religious but you don't have to be to stand up for Gaza.
