My sons dad has made mistakes like everyone has. He’s done things in the past he’s not proud of but in 2022 we agreed to work on our relationship and ourselves to be be better parents for our children and better people in general. He got a job as a security guard. He stepped up to help me raise not just our son but also my other two kids. Life was going great. One Friday in March 2023 he got in the car to go cash his check and get his haircut before work and noticed multiple vehicles following him and a helicopter. Turned out to be the U.S marshalls. He was arrested and booked in to dallas county all to find out a charge from 2020 had been picked up by the federal police. They told him the reason they picked up the case is because the zip code he was arrested in was labeled as project safe neighborhood. He has been moved to federal custody and is awaiting trial. We have paid the retainer fee of $5000 to the attorney and have been given a deadline of 07/15/2023 to pay the remaining balance. My life as well as my kids life has been at a stand still the past 3 months because we are missing a piece of our family. The feds see a black man, a menace to society. We see a father, a human who makes mistakes but has changed. He has held his job at the same place for a year and was being promoted to manager. He has not been arrested since that time until this arrest. I am one person and even working 60 hours a week, with bills and kids i dont have the money to hand over to the attorney or i would in a heartbeat. His son will start Prek this year and it will break my heart if his dad isnt around to see that. This attorney is our only hope. Any help is appreciated!!
